About Us

Partners

Robin’s Nest Children’s Advocacy Center is nationally accredited through the National Children’s Alliance (NCA), and certified with our state chapter, Children’s Advocacy Centers of North Carolina (CACNC). Our partnerships are based on the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) model, considered the national ‘best practice’ in response to child abuse. We collaborate with the four (4) Caldwell Law Enforcement Agencies, the Department of Social Services, the Office of the District Attorney, Caldwell County Schools, Guardian ad Litem, and the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Our partner agency leadership serve on the Professional Advisory Council with the Robin’s Nest Executive Director to develop, review, update and enforce the protocols for our collaborative efforts. The professionals that are directly involved in abuse investigation, intervention, and services work closely with our staff every day and attend the monthly Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings. These meetings ensure that we focus on the well-being of the child and their non-offending caretakers throughout the investigation and possible prosecution. The Gaurdian ad Litem, Juvenile Justice, and Caldwell Couny Schools representatives provide and receive from the team additional perspectives and information that enhance the team’s efforts. With the strong leadership of the Professional Advisory Council, the MDT and the staff of Robin’s Nest, we work to provide a haven of care for children ages 0 to 18.

Without these partners, Robin’s Nest cannot accomplish its mission to “pursue justice, provide hope, and promote healing” for victims of sexual and severe physical abuse.  We are grateful for the professional expertise each one provides as we collaborate to serve children who have been severely abused in our community.
